Markie Maid is a daughter of our stallion Briar Hill Trademark. Trademark was used limitedly during his two
year old year and Markie is a product of one of those matings. Her mother is an own daughter of
Windermere's Taylor Maid, the mother of World Supreme Champion, Windermere's North American Maid
(Moose). As Custom Maid is a daughter of Windermere's Just Incredible, she is a 3/4 sister to Moose. Custom
has produced several outstanding offspring for us, including the 2007 Res. All American filly, Windermere's
Rosie.
Markie showed us a lot of potential from early on. We liked the look of this high headed young mare and
hoped that she would show us the drive in harness that we saw from her on the lead shank. She did not
disappoint us, and has become a successful cart mare who is truly only beginning to come into her own. We
have very high expectations for what this mare will accomplish in the future. Abraham showed Markie at the
recent 2012 PA Farm Show where she was honored with the Supreme Champion Halter Horse title.
Markie has the conformational correctness coupled with the motion and drive to be a top hitch and halter mare
in the future. We are proud to use this home bred champion in our hitch and expect her to be a force in our
halter string in the years to come.
